I'm sure people come to this blog and wonder if I'm still in business, based on how infrequently I post. I'm not the poster child of aggressive marketing, seemingly not having anything new to show or say. I do, of course, but I get caught up sometimes, and don't get around to posting. Still... occasionally something or someone happens that gives me extra joy and incentive to post. Such is the case with my new friends, Erich and Angela.
Until this past Saturday (August 7, 2010), Angela was Ms. Bullard; now she's happily married to Erich Wahl -- the culmination of a "like" that started when Erich was just 12 years old, I'm told (by Erich). And that puppy love has kept these two in each other's lives ever since, even after Erich joined the Air Force nearly 4 years ago.
It was my pleasure to photograph their wedding and, just days before, their engagement session. Why, you may ask, would a couple about to marry in just 3 days have an engagement shoot? Why, because the photographer suggested it, of course (would that my own children had listened so well).
Erich and Angela were truly delightful to work with. I loved the ease between them, and you can see in their eyes what's real for them.
Right now they're on their honeymoon in Jamaica, and I'm sharing a few of their engagement photos with you. Enjoy them. These photos -- not my work, but their joy -- will make you wish you were in love, if you're not. And if you are in love, I guess you'll recognize that look in their eyes.
Maybe I'll share a few wedding images when they get back... especially the ones of the girls in the salon getting their hair and make-up done :-) Then again... maybe not those, at least not the early ones.
Have an awesome day ;-)
